Philosophy and Mission

In this age of easy information, we need a transformation of education philosophy from data “Givers” to data “Directors”.  Students need direction on how to apply the critical thinking while maintaining their unique individual perspectives. The perspective of the gifted learner is one that is often undeveloped in Education. A gifted learner must develop skills of self-advocacy and maintain a growth mindset in order to excel. My mission is to assimilate the information that is available regarding giftedness and learning in a way that will equip gifted learners and their families in both of these skills.  This information will shift and change with our culture, and I intend to continue learning about the mind, cognition, and what motivates—utilizing every platform available to promote an awareness, tolerance, and empowerment of the gifted learner.
